What is WATERLASE® you ask?

The WATERLASE® uses HYDROKINETIC® technology to perform a variety of dental procedures, including cavity preparation, decay removal, tooth etching and a wide range of soft tissue (gum) procedures. The WATERLASE® system emits a laser beam that energizes a highly precise spray of air and water. Water droplets absorb the laser energy and become laser-energized water particles, that, when directed at the tooth, quickly remove enamel, dentin, and decay.

What are the benefits of using WATERLASE®?

The WATERLASE® system dramatically increases the patients’ comfort in the dentist chair. Just under 99% of patients treated with this technology reported no discomfort during the procedure. Since heat and vibration are the primary sources of pain associated with the use of a traditional dental drill, WATERLASE® ultiizes a system that does not generate heat, vibration or pressure.
