Meet Dr. Barry Silverman and Dr. Eric Gott

For 25 years, Dr. Barry Silverman has established University Dental as part of a Bayside tradition of dental comfort and care by bringing patients only the best that modern dentistry has to offer. Joined ten years ago by Dr. Eric Gott, they have continued this tradition by opening a second location in Bellmore, Long Island.

Both doctors’ top priorities are patient satisfaction and comfort. They look forward to your visit to their offices and to showing you the positive effects that quality dental care can have on your life.

Dr. Barry Silverman

“Dr. Barry” received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Adelphi University. He received his D.M.D from University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 1981. As a resident at Long Island Jewish Hospital, he gained extensive experience in the treatment of the medically compromised patient. He received training in dental anesthesia at Maimonides Hospital. Dr. Barry then completed the pediatric dentistry program affiliated with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, including advanced training in the treatment of the developmentally disabled. He is a past Director of Pediatric Dentistry at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Like the rest of our team, Dr. Barry participates extensively in continuing education, with an emphasis on implant and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Barry lives in Merrick with his wife, Geri, and their three children.

Dr. Eric Gott

Dr. Eric Gott, was born and raised in Bayonne, New Jersey. He attended Quinnipiac University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Gott is a 1990 graduate of Boston University School of Dentistry. Since graduating from dental school, Dr. Gott has continued being a student of his profession. For the past 17 years he has attended numerous courses and seminars that keep him in tune with the latest advances, and changes in cosmetic dentistry, implants, endodontics (root canal therapy) and other aspects of dentistry. Dr. Gott lives in Merrick with his wife, Robin, and their three children.
